Privacy policy

Chordup ("we") handles information in the Men's Core app ("the app") and on menscore.chordup.io ("the site") as follows.

1. Information in the app

• Your training log (dates, duration, level and how hard each session felt), your answers to the partner's questions (time per day, activity level and so on) and your settings are stored on your device. Your self-checks of your concerns (a 1-5 self-rating every two weeks) and your reminder times are also stored only on your device and are never sent to the AI partner, to us or to ad networks. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on the device; no outside server is used.
• AI partner: when you send the AI partner a message, and once a day when the app writes your greeting on opening, that message, recent conversation, your plan settings, recent session counts, meal totals and your condition ratings from the past week (mood, energy, sleep and stress, 1-5) are sent through our server (AWS) to Anthropic's AI, Claude. They are used only to adjust your plan and write a reply, never for ads. Data read from health apps is never sent. The partner keeps what you tell it in conversation (including concerns and feelings) as up to 30 short notes on your device, and sends them to the AI together with recent conversation each time you chat. You can view and delete the notes in settings at any time. A short body self-check you answer during setup is also kept as one of these notes, and you can delete it in settings. Please don't enter your name or contact details. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Meal photos and voice: when you send a meal photo, a reduced copy is sent the same way to the AI for analysis only; it is stored neither on our server nor on your device. When you talk by voice, your phone’s own speech recognition turns it into text. Where the device supports it, this happens on the device without going online; otherwise it may be handled by the speech recognition service of your phone’s maker (Apple or Google). No recording is kept.
• Only if you allow it, the app reads steps and workouts from Apple Health or Health Connect to log cardio. It only reads, never writes, and never sends this data to us or anyone else (including ad networks and the AI provider). You can withdraw permission in your device settings at any time.
• There is no account. We do not collect your name or email address.
• You can delete all data from the settings screen at any time. Deleting the app also deletes the log.

2. Ads and partner offers

The app shows ads through Google AdMob and partner offers labeled as ads. Offers are fetched from the site without sending your log or settings. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier to serve ads. The app requests non-personalized ads and never sends your training log, self-checks or health app data to ad networks. 3. The site

To understand how the site is used and improve it, the site uses Google Analytics by Google LLC. Using cookies and similar technologies, it collects the pages you view, time on page, approximate region and device and browser type, in a form that does not identify you. We do not use its advertising features (such as Google signals), and we never send health-related information such as self-check answers. For visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are turned off. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. See Google’s policy for how the data is handled. The site does not currently show ads.
